Cookie Policy

Marcaj uses only a few cookies, all of them strictly necessary to sign you in and remember your language. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, which is why we do not show a cookie consent banner.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, keep data on your device in the same way. This policy covers both.
2. Cookies we use
All of them are first-party (set by our own domain) and strictly necessary:

3. Local storage
The application also keeps some interface preferences in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not used to track you:
- light or dark theme;
- editor display settings, such as whether labels are shown next to shapes and the point-cloud density;
- list filters and similar view settings.
4. What we do not use
We do not use analytics, advertising, retargeting or social-media cookies, and we do not load third-party tracking scripts. Page performance is measured by the application itself and sent only to our servers, without cookies of its own.
When you choose to sign in with Google, you are redirected to Google's own pages, where Google may set its own cookies under the Google Privacy Policy. We have no control over them.
5. Why there is no consent banner
EU law (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive) requires consent for cookies except those strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Every cookie above falls under that exception, so we do not ask for consent. If we ever add cookies that need consent, we will ask before setting them and update this policy.
6. How to control cookies
You can view and delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block the cookies listed above, you will not be able to sign in. More about how we process personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
